XR Lab - Immersive Design Student Club
TECHNOLOGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP - RESEARCH - ENGINEERING
XR Lab - Immersive Design Student Club at CED, Berkeley seeks to foster a community of research and creativity around the XR Lab to better serve the student community with an active exchange of research ideas and approaches.
The use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) has been increasingly popular in many domains such as gaming, navigation, psychological research, simulated medical treatment and skill training. In addition, the use of AR/VR could also be relevant for pre- and post-occupancy building evaluation, which could improve the building design process and enhance the usability of architectural environments.
XR Lab- Immersive Design Student Club consists of a group of students with an interest in immersive environments to foster a student community of research and creativity around the existing XR Lab at CED Berkeley. The XR Lab was created in 2017, at the UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design in response to the emergent fields of spatial computing and immersive environments. It seeks to develop innovative, impactful research and applications on VR/AR/MR by establishing collaborations with industry partners and academia.
