Underrepresented Minorities in Economics

UME wants to harvest a community of underrepresented students to take on the issue of diversity directly. Hello! We are UME. Founded in 2017, UME's goal is to provide a space for Black, Latinx, and Native American students who are interested in Economics. We hope to build a community for POC in this field by providing different kinds of resources and opportunities. We believe that by establishing an internally diverse coalition we can work together with fellow students and faculty to learn how to deconstruct what has become a hugely segregated academic field.
