The Wildlife Society at Berkeley

SCIENCES - ENVIRONMENTAL

The Wildlife Society at Berkeley is a social and professional club for all fascinated by the natural world, aiming to increase access and community in the field of wildlife ecology and conservation. Wildlife Society is a social and professional club for students fascinated by the natural world. We aim to facilitate a welcoming, interdisciplinary, and environmentally-conscientious community -- supporting anti-racism, representation, and belonging in this historically inequitable field. To this end, we provide a career network and weekly meetings, as well as free and subsidized events, including a diverse array of speakers, service events, and outdoor activities. If you have blurry insect pictures on your phone, a deep sense of wonder for ecological processes, or simply like wandering around outdoors, Wildlife Society is a group of nature nerds that would love to have you. We’ve camped at Mt. Diablo, hosted a Cal Falcons founder, toured the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, hauled invasive eucalyptus, enjoyed funny and heartfelt member lectures, and celebrated the spring equinox. We’ve gone night salamander hunting, found the Cesar Chavez burrowing owl, and run around campus for our annual halloween scavenger hunt. More to come this year! We have no membership requirements and welcome you to one or many meetings, and support a diverse community of students from across all disciplines. The linktree below takes you to all our channels of communication, including our membership registration form, discord, and instagram. Look out for information on our first info sessions and weekly meeting times on our socials!
