The Environmentalist

Educating UC Berkeley students and Berkeley residents on local environmental issues. Aiming to give voice to marginalized communities impacted by climate change and keep students and administration accountable for their contributions to climate change. The objective of The Environmentalist magazine is to educate Berkeley students and locals about the various environmental issues in Berkeley and the greater Bay Area. The student-run magazine will cover student and University actions on these environmental issues through a multimedia format. It places an emphasis on investigative journalism that aims to give a voice to marginalized communities impacted by climate change and keep Berkeley students and University administration accountable for their ecological footprint and contribution to climate change. It also aims to cultivate a community of environmental reporters, photographers, and designers equipping them with the skills to become professional environmental journalists.
