We promote scientific research, dialogue, and policy awareness on matters related to the conservation of biological diversity. We connect students with conservation professionals in the Bay Area through seminars, workshops, & networking events.
The SCB Berkeley Chapter is a professional organization with over 200 members composed of Bay Area grad students, undergraduates, and professionals. We were founded at UC-Berkeley in 1997.
Our mission is to promote scientific research, dialogue, and policy awareness on matters related to the conservation of biological diversity, and to connect students with conservation professionals and activists in the Bay Area through networking events, seminars, workshops, and volunteer opportunities.
Our chapter engages in a range of activities on and off campus to provide members with hands-on conservation experience and professional development opportunities. These activities include:
Field trips and networking events with local agencies, NGOs and universities
