Sahaara at Berkeley

Sahaara at Berkeley is an organization that focuses on raising funds for and awareness of anti-trafficking efforts in South Asia and the Bay Area. Human trafficking is a crisis that affects millions of people around the world, with South Asia standing near the top as a major hub for trafficked individuals. The silent nature of trafficking is what allows it to thrive all over the globe today. Sex trafficking is modern slavery and a horrific violation of basic human dignity. The goal of Sahaara at Berkeley is to raise awareness about the growing issue of sex trafficking across the globe and to raise money for major organizations in South Asia and the Bay Area. We also hope to educate our local community and volunteer our time in the future!
