SEMM DSR

Build community among doctoral students and researchers (DSRs) in the Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials (SEMM) program of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department at UC Berkeley. SEMM DSR is a graduate student organization committed to building community among doctoral students and researchers (DSRs) in the Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials (SEMM) program of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) department at UC Berkeley. DSRs include MS students with the goal of including research in their graduate work, students on the PhD track, post-doctoral researchers, and visiting scholars. Prior to the formation of this group, there have been no distinct avenues towards connection or peer support among DSRs. To amend this deficit, SEMM DSR aims to establish four initiatives: (1) Connection Forum, (2) Community Events, (3) Industry Information Sessions, and (4) Research Facility Upkeep.
