SEAONC at Berkeley

SEAONC at Berkeley is a graduate student organization committed to connecting students in the Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials program with relevant, professional, and academic resources. Primarily, SEAONC at Berkeley sets students up for success in their studies (whether it be the Master’s program or pHD track) and beyond. We aim to facilitate mentoring programs with industry professionals, organize office visits with local workplaces, and coordinate other opportunities (like study groups, seminars, workshops, etc.) for students to feel more confident learning the challenging, structural engineering material and entering the workforce. We also work closely with the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department to accomplish these goals, and offer support/feedback to improve the graduate program for future years. This organization’s specific goals of bettering the SEMM program are unique and increase students’ opportunities beyond the graduate curriculum.
