SACNAS for Graduate Students at Berkeley

SCIENCES - RESEARCH

To promote the recruitment, retention, and success of underrepresented minorities in science. We attend the annual SACNAS conference; organize fellowship workshops, career and mentoring events, social hours; and volunteer for recruitment events. We are the graduate division of the official SACNAS chapter at the University of California, Berkeley. SACNAS fosters the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists – from college students to professionals – to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science. We share the goals and values of SACNAS, striving to meet them through our various outreach activities. Our chapter seeks to improve recruitment, retention, and success of students underrepresented in STEM fields. We welcome all students who share our goals, no matter their background.
