Residence Hall Assembly
ADVOCACY - BUSINESS - CONSULTING
The Residence Hall Assembly shall maintain and improve the quality of life within the Residence Halls by:
Serving as an advocacy group for student concerns with the Department of Housing and Dining Services, to the Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC), to the larger university, and to the City of Berkeley;
Providing a forum for residents to communicate with each other and work together to resolve common concerns and achieve common goals;
Providing resident representation on committees of the University and local community;
Facilitating in the planning and execution of programs on a systemwide and local level;
Initiating any activities and programs necessary and proper to ensure and improve the quality of life within the Residence Halls.
Remaining non-partisan and ensuring all functions in the residence halls do not promote or oppose any political biases including, but not limited to: political parties, candidates, etc.
Advocating for the best interest of the residential community through issue-specific correspondence as approved by a three-fourths majority of the Assembly on specific propositions, measures, ordinances, and laws.
