ReUSE

ENVIRONMENTAL - SUSTAINABILITY

ReUSE is a student organization that runs the ReUSE Thrift Store in MLK, gives away free textbooks, and hosts other special events. We also manage the ReUSE Stations on campus. We are committed to creating a more sustainable environment through reuse! The ReUSE Store is a campus not-for-profit thrift store run by student volunteers in the ReUSE Club. We take donations and trades of clothing and other household items from the Cal community and give them back to the community via our store. We are committed to creating a more sustainable environment through promoting reuse and making items affordable for students. Textbooks, readers, and office supplies are all free, and everything else in the store is $3 or less. Things we can’t sell or give away are donated. All proceeds go to charity and maintaining the club. We also host various special events, such as Tie Dye during Earth Week and Super Sproul Sales. Members of committees plan and host special events. Volunteers generally help in the store for one or two hours a week when their schedule allows and receive store credit as well as first dibs on new items.
