Privacy Law at Berkeley (formerly the Berkeley Information Privacy Law Association (BIPLA))
With members from across Berkeley Law, we track the evolution of information privacy and seek to understand its wider implications. We work at the intersection of law, technology, society, the government, and the market. We engage with scholars and practitioners, lawyers and information scientists, policy analysts and software coders, and others in the Bay Area and across the world. We strive to prepare students for careers in the field of privacy law. PrivLAB promotes cross-disciplinary examinations of information privacy. We host talks by eminent privacy experts, write briefing notes and opinion pieces, analyze foundational and cutting-edge privacy scholarship, and promote a multifaceted and inclusive understanding of information privacy in Berkeley and beyond.
