Phi Lambda Rho

Phi Lambda Rho On August 14, 2022, a group of 6 Latina/Chicana women established the Iota Chapter of Phi Lambda Rho at UC Berkeley. They brought forth this beautiful organization in order to uplift women of color at Cal through sisterhood, mutual support, & love. We hope that bringing Phi Lambda Rho to Berkeley will create a supportive sanctuary within this historically white-serving institution for the growing number of Latinas on campus to flourish. Phi Lambda Rho Sorority Inc., is a multi-cultural Chicana/Latina sorority popularly known as “Rhosas” or “Rhos.” Sisters of Phi Lambda Rho organize and execute events catered to their four pillars -- Academics, Cultura, Philanthropy, and Sisterhood --throughout the year, making them an active and professional sorority in the community.The sorority serves as a retention group for aspiring young women in college who wish to leave a positive impact in their communities by engaging in service to the community while displaying a sense of cultural pride and fostering life-long bonds.
