ACTIVISM - PERFORMING ARTS - WOMEN

Our Monologue places students with historically marginalized identities at the center. It is the largest educational performance platform for gender-based violence on campus, manifesting a community of healing, liberation, resistance, education, and more “Our Monologues” is a student-led production featuring the real stories of students at UC Berkeley, and sponsored by the Gender Equity Resource Center. The show welcomes all students to participate so long as they are committed to fostering a safe and inclusive space– with a prioritization of students who are BIPOC, femme, nonbinary, women,* transgender, disabled, queer, or allies, as well as their relationships to gender, race, sexuality, and other intersections of their identity. Our mission is to end gender-based violence and promote gender equity on our campus and in our world. All proceeds of the show go to organizations around the Bay Area that align with our values. *We welcome all who experience life through the lens of woman in body, spirit, identity- past, present, future, and fluid. Check us out at Calapalooza and our Info Sessions for more information about the show and how to audition! Also feel free to stop by the Geneq space or email us at ourmons@berkeley.edu with any questions.
