Name and Gender Change Workshop

NGCW is a student initiated legal project at Berkeley Law. We work to assist transgender individuals complete legal name and gender changes. NGCW assists clients in navigating the process of changing their legal name and/or the gender marker on their government identity documents. We help them to complete forms, give advice on how to file forms, and assist them with fee waivers where applicable. While the name and gender change processes are relatively simple legal issues, there are few service providers that are able to help the transgender community with the process.
