MI2 @ Berkeley stems from Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute. Our focus is learning about innovative advances in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and, nanotechnology. Hello fellow Bears! Are you pre-med, pre-health, or studying data science or engineering? Are you interested in medical innovation and artificial intelligence? Do you like getting creative and brainstorming innovative solutions for issues in healthcare? Apply to MI2 at Berkeley!!! MI2 (Medical Intelligence and Innovation) at Berkeley is a club associated with chapters at NYU, UCLA, and TCU. We stem from a summer internship at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County’s Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute (CHOC MI3). As a member of this club, we will explore several emerging areas that are relevant to the future practice of medicine:* genomic medicine and personalized medicine* regenerative medicine and stem cells* nanomedicine* robotics and robotic surgery* artificial intelligence and big data* medical devices and mobile technology* innovations in healthcare delivery We will also expand further to include innovation and artificial intelligence as it applies to fields other than medicine.In addition to doing pre-health/pre-med activities, we will provide members with opportunities to learn from industry professionals, including CEOs, Investors, and Physicians, as well as opportunities to develop and eventually present their own abstracts for possible products/solutions at conferences or to their peers. We are hoping to create a collaborative environment between various majors, and as a club focus on innovation and artificial intelligence in various fields. We have various opportunities for leadership positions for members of any age/year and are looking for students with various backgrounds and interests to bring their unique perspectives to our club!
