La Raza Workers' and Tenants' Rights Clinic

To provide comprehensive legal services to immigrant, low-income and Latino communities in the Bay Area. La Raza Workers' and Tenants' Rights Clinic provides an opportunity for Berkeley Law students to work directly with clients on issues of employment and housing law. The Workers' Clinic advises clients on wage and hour violations, employment discrimination, retaliation, and other areas of employment law. The Tenants' Clinic counsels tenants on evictions, illegal rent increases, harassment by landlords, and uninhabitable conditions. Under attorney supervision, students meet individually with clients, prepare demand letters or wage claims, and, when the clinic performs follow-up work for the client, research different areas of the law.
