Herbicide Free Berkeley utilizes student input and direct interactions with groundskeepers to create change on UC Berkeley's campus to transition away from synthetic herbicides. ReWild at Berkeley utilizes student input and direct interactions with groundskeepers to create change on campus to transition away from synthetic herbicides. UC Berkeley has used herbicides on its campus for years but this organization directly addresses the issues and health impacts that come with that. By creating relationships with staff, forming campus plans, and personally going out throughout campus to hand-weed the greenery, we can continue to create a movement that will keep everyone on campus safe. This issue goes beyond our campus, so by taking these steps to show how feasible it is to make a campus Herbicide Free, we can inspire outside communities to do the same.
