Dance Marathon
MEDICAL / HEALTHCARE - COMMUNITY SERVICE
Dance Marathon is a yearlong fundraising campaign that unites the Berkeley community by hosting events and raising awareness and funds for the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital as part of the Children’s Miracle Network.
An entirely non-profit, student-run enterprise, the Children’s Miracle Network’s Dance Marathon has raised upwards of $350,000,000 for children’s hospitals nationwide since its founding in 1991. Consisting of hours of dancing, live entertainment, educational activities and speakers, themed activities, food, and exciting contests and prizes, Dance Marathon is unlike any other event on campus. In our first year holding Dance Marathon starting in the 2022-23 academic year, we raised $33,125 and won Best New Dance Marathon in the Country at the Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon Leadership Conference. Coupling a lively social event with a highly relevant and worthy cause, Dance Marathon continues to attract a growing number of students.
