Coordinate
TECHNOLOGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP - MEDICAL / HEALTHCARE
Coordinate exists to bridge the gap between healthcare and populations with poor technological literacy, while aiming to simultaneously provide opportunities for undergraduates to engage in the provision of healthcare services.
The curriculum of the program has been designed to foster an understanding of the changing landscape of healthcare delivery, spurred by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and immerses them in the field of Telehealth through a hands-on clinical internship. Following a period of general and clinic-specific training, students will spend 3-4 extracurricular hours per week working with patients and providers to facilitate a smooth telehealth experience, thereby gaining a better understanding of the needs and experiences of both as it relates to telehealth and healthcare. They will gain critical clinical experience and the practical skills necessary to facilitate healthcare delivery, which will be advantageous as they pursue careers in medicine and healthcare.
Applications to the DeCal course are due by Thursday, August 31st: tinyurl.com
