Combat Robotics at Berkeley
ENGINEERING - TECHNOLOGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
At Combat Robotics at Berkeley, our goal is to promote hands-on and theoretical engineering principles while designing a combat robot to compete on the Discovery Channel's show BattleBots.
Combat Robotics at Berkeley started with a singular obsession: make a BattleBot. Through the countless design iterations, late nights working on CAD and backbreaking machining to finish our 250lb BattleBot Glitch, CRB’s become so much more: an awesome way to develop our hands-on engineering, marketing and business skills; an outlet to pour our competitive nature into robotic optimization; and a tight knit community of friends.
We’re proud of how much CRB has grown in a year, and have been awestruck competing and connecting with the professional engineers we’ve been watching on BattleBots for years. We’re excited for our three new member teams to develop, and hope we influence students to get involved in robotics.
Combat Robotics at Berkeley is a sponsored organization under the ASUC, UC Berkeley’s student association and a 501c3 nonprofit. CRB is entirely student run, with over forty undergraduate students split into four projects and four technical and nontechnical subteams.
