The Cognitive Science Students Association (CSSA) is an undergraduate student organization at UC Berkeley whose mission is to support and enrich the academic life of students interested in the interdisciplinary field of Cognitive Science. The CSSA strives to build a sense of community among students and provides them with valuable opportunities for personal, academic, and career development. The CSSA regularly coordinates academic events such as guest lectures and information sessions; plans social events like professor-student dinners and movie nights; and advocates for cognitive science students by working with CogSci faculty and university officials. Each year, the CSSA also plans, organizes, and hosts the California Cognitive Science Conference, a large academic conference featuring talks from Cognitive Science researchers from across the state as well as showcasing the exceptional work of undergraduates conducting research in Cognitive Science.
