Cal Women’s Rugby

Rugby culture encourages callaboration, constant positivity, and growth in leadership abilities. CWR will introduce you to some of your best friends who will support you on and off the field, as well as the incredible international community of ruggers. Our team includes players who found rugby as kids, to those who discovered it on campus - you do not need any athletic experience to start! The team provides the opportunity for competitive play as well as the development of rugby skills for players of all experience levels. We begin practices in the fall semester and focus on teaching rugby skills from the very beginning. Our league season begins in the spring, and we compete competitively in the D1 Pacific Mountain rugby conference. In the 2019-2020 season, we qualified for 15s conference playoffs and USA Rugby 7s nationals. Come chat with us, and hear what we're all about!
