Cal Ballroom

Cal Ballroom is one of the largest competitive ballroom teams on the West Coast. Our aim is to teach ballroom dancing to Cal students and provide a community for students. We are UC Berkeley’s one and only competitive International Ballroom Dance Team and the largest team on the West Coast. We offer Cal Students high quality dance instruction through our professional coaches and attend competitions throughout the state and nation. Our team members have both placed and won in national competitions on the East Coast. Ballroom dancing is a partner-style dance which has risen in popularity across the world, especially in European countries. In International Ballroom there are 2 main styles of dancing called Standard and Latin, both with 5 types of dances. Find more information about us at ballroom.berkeley.edu!
