Blood Pressure Project
HEALTH AND WELLNESS - MEDICAL / HEALTHCARE - COMMUNITY SERVICE
BPP's purpose is to:
(1) Provide underserved communities regular and consistent blood pressure screenings
(2) Promote health education
(3) Increase community involvement in healthy habits
(4) Utilize the campus to promote our cause
The Blood Pressure Project (BPP) is a UC Berkeley student organization founded in Fall 2013. We are an organization committed to bringing blood pressure awareness and education to Berkeley’s underserved communities in order to improve and create a healthy, sustainable society. We are partnered with Heart 2 Heart, a collaboration between the City of Berkeley’s Public Health Department and Lifelong Medical Care. We also work with organizations such as Suitcase Clinic and the South Berkeley Senior Center. Throughout the semester we invite health professionals from the community to speak at our general meetings.
