Black Graduate Engineering and Science Students

BGESS is a graduate organization that strives to improve the graduate experience of African American students as well other minority groups at UC Berkeley. This is done through a collaborative effort from the students, staff, industry, and community. The Black Graduate Engineering and Science Students Society is an academic and social support network that targets black graduate students and allies of black students within the University of California at Berkeley’s STEM disciplines. Through our programming, we help ensure that black graduate students can successfully contribute to both scientific research and the college’s learning environment.
