About Us: We are UC Berkeley’s Undergraduate Bioethics and Medical Humanities Society. The discipline of bioethics explores the intersection of biological advancements and their moral implications. We enjoy grappling with tricky ethical questions in our two central committees: Debate and Journal. The interdisciplinary field of bioethics is concerned with the ethics and moral implications of biological and medical procedures, businesses, technologies, and treatments (from genetic engineering to patient accessibility of treatments, and more). We aim to expose students to this critical and often overlooked scientific division through targeted discourse, case studies, debates, and events.
