Bearettes Drill Team at Berkeley

The Bearettes serves as an essential component of the Cal spirit teams that showcases diversity, inclusion, and empowerment through performance and discipline. Since our founding in 2015, the Bearettes' mission has been to serve underrepresented communities and the greater Cal community as a group of students who demonstrate diversity, inclusion, and empowerment through performance and discipline. We strive to create a space where students from different backgrounds, communities, and cultures can come together to portray Berkeley through a different lens. The Bearettes aspire to bring spirit to people of color and provide a space for people of color to feel proud showcasing their talents on Berkeley's campus—doing so by honoring and recognizing the history of dance and majorette dance to minority communities.
